Subject: NTP time server software supplying GPS time to an application on an
IP-address independent of internet

I have need for MicroSoft Windows time server software that can supply GPS time
to an application (Faros beacon monitor) run on a stand alone PC not connected
to internet. Faros must access an IP-address on a NTP server to get the needed
time information.

I'm currently using a local GPS time server on the internet to supply the
needed accurate time to the Faros software. This server is located here in
Nuuk/Greenland. The Faros software is installed on a PC using MicroSoft XP home
edition operating system. Faros software is developed by ham radio operator
VE3NEA (http://www.dxatlas.com/Faros/ ). When a shortwave receiver audio output
is connected to the PC with Faros running, Faros can supply reliable
information of received NCDXF shortwave beacons (
http://www.ncdxf.org/beacons.html ).

However, the PC where Faros is installed shall now be used on a location, where
there is no access to the internet, so I need an independent accurate time
source. This time signal shall e.g. come from a GPS receiver with a PPS (pulse
per second) output, such as Garmin GPS18x-LVC.

Does anybody of you have knowledge to NTP server software that I can install on
my PC that will accept the time signal supplied from the GPS receiver
delivering PPS time signals?

What I need is a similar solution as the one described on http://time.qnan.org/
but without the Linux server software. I need a Windows NTP time server capable
to receive GPS PPS time signals, synchronize the PC clock to the GPS time and
be able to deliver standard NTP data when the Faros request by calling the NTP
server on an IP-address defined in the NTP server.

Can anybody help?

Best regards
Peter
