I'm not sure how normally a GPS device would be configured in NTPd, but as far as I've seen it seems to be able to do everything the linux version does. Also, if GPS is not directly supported, another option would be to have some other software set the local system clock on a very regular basis and have theNTPd use the local clock by not configuring any (other) servers and setting your system clock as 'last resort reference'. In a config file this would look something like this: server 127.127.1.1 fudge 127.127.1.1 stratum 0 (Normally you would use a very high stratum value here, like 12 or 16, but if your system clock is set by a GPS device stratum 0 or 1 seems appropriate to me). I have no resources though to test either the capability of the Meinberg-port to use a GPS device nor the theory above. Regards, Roelant.
