Thanks, Andrew I had read your page before, but couldn't see how to apply it in my situation.
Is the point here that field that contain a reference simply cannot be imported? I have partners imported, and I have partner contacts that I want to subsequently import. I can see that if a field contains a reference and cannot be imported, then it follows that partner contacts cannot be imported seperately from partners. If this is the case then it is going to be pretty difficult to import everything, such as journals etc that have multiple references.
