Did you have the hr_timesheet_sheet module installed ?
If so, there is a bug for the sign-in/sign-out when there is not yet a
timesheet for the current day.
The bugfix already exist in the trunk branch but there is some
discussion about it. So I'm waiting to incorporate it in the next 4.2
release.
