I would like to address the 2 questions proposed at the end:

I think that the community days should be done as often as needed. Probably they should be organized for every big stable release (like 4.4) with enough time to develop and test the features. One very good thing about the recently celebrated community days was that on every workshop there was at least one Tiny employee: this gave the workshops a "warm" feeling of being taken seriously and in fact it helped a lot since some of the propositions were already on the way... If the comm days are celebrated twice a year and you don't organize them often in the Tiny headquarters you will get tired of moving 6-8 people around every 6 months... Maybe once a year in Tiny HQ and another one at the proposal of a partner or sponsor would be alright.
