Negative stocks don't bother me.... In fact, I prefer negative stocks than trying to solve the problems that many users can cause trying to circumvent the problem, like selling a service and changing the description to match the one of a product because the system wouldn't let them sell a product that supposedly was falling in negative stock... (After that... try to fill an intrastat declaration, for example.... This is a real case !! )
In fact, in some circumstances negative stocks can happen: if you sell on the weight and you have different scales for inputs and outputs or for example if the entry of your incoming products get delayed for any reason. I have some customers that 90% of their year income and activity happen during 2 weeks just before Christmas: the paperwork of the warehouse shouldn't forbid them to ship as fast as they can during those days even if the reported stock is negative at some times... I wouldn't enforce strict positive stocks on general but maybe it could be left to an optional module.
