Hello,

I know this is a recurring issue, but I ended up witing a post on it anyway,
since we couldn't find updated information on the website.

We're a small portuguese services company, and we're considering implementing
an ERP solution. From evaluating the marketplace, we're become quite interested
in the potential found in OpenERP/TinyERP, but we're veen having doubts
regarding the way forward for both us and the product.

In order to use OpenERP effectively, we'd have to both revise the translation
as well as to introduce a complete portuguese chart of accounts. We woudn't
mind that, and we'd happily contribute those back to the project. Still, we're
in the middle of a version cross-road: should we go 4.2.x, or should we bet
immediatly on 5.x?

We're a bit concerned with the evolution and communication parts of OpenERP -
there seems to be a lot of coding activity, with great features floating
around, but they look scattered and not usable. We bought the ebook, which we
found useful, but still nowhere nearby a complete implementation-ready guide,
so we're relying on our own ability to explore and the help of the community.

Any input from both the product promoters and the rest of the community would
be appreciated!

Many thanks

Hugo
