I think there are a few Brazilian users. At least I found some on the forum and 
we see our Magento bridge is attracting some guys from Brazil too. May be they 
aren't contributing back but they would help translating things I imagine. I 
know Portuguese from Portugal and Brazil are a bit different, But I guess it 
will be OK to use a version in Portugal that might one day 80% Brazilian and 
20% Portuguese from Portugal overrided. In the few weeks/months I'll involve 
myself a lot into the Brazilian localization anyway as I said. I'll use use 
part of what have been done for "tropicalizing" Openbravo for this, I guess 
corporate terms will remain, the same for taxes and chart of account.

Of course, this is for language translations, charts of accounts and tax 
schemas are less obvious to get right. I hope you can do your part. OpenERP is 
going to skyrocket, would just be too bad not being part of it.
