There is no problem on the branch with the installation/operational patches. Everything works from that perspective. However, there is a bug relating to 'bdist_rpm' installs that is still unresolved: https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-server/+bug/331024
And the gist of that bug is that you can only use a database that you've created that same day. When you try and use any other database that was created on a previous day, then you get errors and tracebacks. I would like to see the installation/operational patches merged into the trunk so that these could be tested in the field by more people from the trunk while Tiny works on the database access bug. I think we could make parallel progress that way.
