This is the false button.
First choose a case and then use the button "create case" and the email will be 
used to create the choosen case. And you get no feedback on the success of that 
in that moment.

For example choose as case "phone call" and click on "create case" and then 
look up under menu CRM all your phone calls and you will find one new entry 
with this email.

hope it helps. The documentation is a bit short on that, should contain a few 
examples for the usage.
