Oh man, you must be joking. If you are in since one month only, then you can
consider you a very lucky man, things have only been much worse in the past;
OpenERP is really improving steadily and very fast for an ERP I think.

In some niche situations (it must be analysed very much before by skilled,
including very tech skilled folks!!!), OpenERP can be between 30% to 4 times
cheaper than proprietary solutions such as SAP BO or Axapta.

The thing is that it takes a lot of (good) engineering days to work around the
bugs and implement what might be missing. Lot's of folks seem to simply not be
aware of that and think it would just been as mature as Firefox or the Linux
Kernel which is absolutely NOT the case yet.

Saying it can save money for lot's of folks in the world doesn't mean it's the
silver bullet for everybody yet. Guys, just for the record NO integrator take
an OpenERP snapshot and put that in prod at customers, all version have
critical issues so far and you must take time backporting fixes and fixing what
is really critical for you. We all wish it would be more straightforward and
it's certainly slowly getting there (see for instance Tiny work on CI server
here: http://79.125.56.232:8010/ ).

You also won't know OpenERP is a month or so. You should be quite good at
coding (not necessarily Python though), know ERP's a lot and dedicate yourself
a lot. Else it's still possible, but it might take you more than 6 months to a
full year before you know how to tweak OpenERP for production.

BTW, I just aksed for docstrings a while back, see:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/openobject-server/+spec/minimal-docstrings

May be some of you can start and ask for merge proposal of documented branches,
meanwhile would be great if Tiny test docstrings in the quality.

Good luck
