If you are bound to a singel-server scenario (from hardware point of view) best solution is visualization where you can create e.g 3 virtual servers on one machine. This way you can separate firewall, openerp-server and apache-openerp-web from each other where openerp-web can be in DMZ area.
To create easy a virtual based server you may have a look at c't-Debian-Server 4 which is a pre-configured xen-server with easy install of new virtual machines, and is Open Source! Severall virtual machines are preconfigured including firewal and installed with 1 click.
