For my very first post, I'll ask what I suppose is a very simple question.
- I have created several categories, and several partners.
- Some partners belong to several categories
How can search all partners that belong to categories "C1" and "C2"?
I tried two things, none worked:
1- Typing the following search strings in the "Categories" field in the
"Advanced Search" feature
C1 C2
C1, C2
C1; C2
The search returns nothing, even if there are indeed partners belonging to
categories C1 and C2.
2- Creating an "Advanced Report"
I started by adding the res.partner.category and res.partner objects to the
searched objects, so that I could add several filters on the categories, but as
soon as I validate the object, I get an error:
These is/are model(s) (res.partner.category,res.partner) in selection which
is/are not related to any other model
Clearly there's something obvious I'm missing, since multiple categories search
is implicitly mentioned in the manual ...
("A partner can be assigned to several categories. These enable you to create
alternative classifications as necessary")
