thanks for your input ... solved at least my problem. The "error" is in the "invoice from packing" method. If i choose this and then after sending the good to the custommer go back to the sales order and create a invoice from there (no button availalbe but i can still do it via the action button on the main toolbar) the sales order switches back to "in progress". -- I think it is a bug. If someone else can confirm this as a bug i will try to add it to launchpad.
