Also not sure how the menu (seeing how all sales related "menu-filters" are on the left now) would be useful, I guess it reduces the amount of menu items needed in the top level, you could go for a sort of Opera/Chrome 9 square layout, Invoices / orders / pickings / administration. Doing these big changes to the menu would bring quite some changes that would break current menu structure i think, in that aspect I prefer to see these changes rather in 6.0 than 5.2 as they are purely esthetical and not really functional. I would cast my vote for improve the favorites as it easily allows users to setup their workflow in the order of usage or their personal preference.
