Thanks for replying, Julian. I also tried to enter the State in the Fed. State field in the Partners area. The default apparently is a three character field. At this location, there was no message of any sort, the field just reverted to blank.
I intend to try to rectify the problem in the design of various reports. Still, it seems slightly strange. Of course, it is clear that the field isn't really designed for what I want to use it for. The US mailing protocol doesn't appear to be covered. I looked for a module for address formats, but couldn't find one. Again, I think I am overlooking something simple.
