Our company has decided to use openerp for its management system. We decided to 
go gradually and roll out the following modules one at a time.

Human Resources
Holiday
Accounting
Sales
CRM

The installation went on smoothly. We wanted to ask all our employees to use 
the holiday request form and that the old paper forms will not be accepted.

Our holiday request process is simple. Once an employee asks for a holiday, the 
form goes to his or her manager. Once approved, the form goes to the HR 
department for the record.

Unfortunately, we cannot get the manager to be able to validate or refuse the 
holiday request. They can see the validate and refuse buttons but they are 
grayed and inaccessible. The only account that can validate or refuse holidays 
is the administrator account.

We have been trying to solve this problem for over a week. We have done the 
following:

- holidays role was given to all the managers
- the company was divided into departments and the managers of the departments 
were selected.

The problem still exists. The holiday manager field is always inaccessible.

We need help in understanding how to solve this problem. This is currently the 
major block for our plan to roll out openerp to the entire company. Any help is 
appreciated.
