Hi All,

I am currently evaluating the use of OpenERP for a franchise-based
organisational structure. There will be the franchisor on level 0 and several
franchisees on level 1.

- Each franchisee should use OpenERP in an autonomous way and therefore should
have its own Financial Management, Stock Managment, Sales Management, Purchase
Mangement and Manufacturing, e.g. franchisee 1 should neither view nor have
access to franchisee 2's data

- Franchisor on level 0 should be able to access a consolidated view of one or
more franchisees, concerning financial performance, stock, sales, purchases and
manufacturing

- Products should be defined on level 0 and accessible read-only by all
franchisees (thus, each franchisee is working with the same set of products)

There are a couple of multi-company related modules. The ones that are
available may suit modul-specific requirements such as accounting, product and
stock management. However, modules for sales, purchase and manufacturing are
not available at all. When browsing through the forum I also found users having
technical problems with the modules already available.

Therefore, I am asking myself whether OpenERP is suitable for a use case I am
looking for.

I appreciate any feedback or experience in this regard.

Scholle
