first draft is expected october 15. Regarding multicompany, we decided to go differently two years ago. In our solution each company runs its own (openerp) server. Partners, products and stocks which are to be synchronized are replicated in real time (via ldap). Flows are automated through pseudo-EDI exchange (for cost reasons). Each company has both a shared part of the business and a private one. We did not choose to make several companies live on a comon code, nor on a single database. This would imply that all companies must use openerp, upgrade at the same time and live like siamese twins. We prefer letting companies diverge and get dedicated to a specific kind of business in freedom, as far as IT system is concerned. Each server is easier to manage.
