I can assure you that OpenERP SA. is committed to an open development model. There is no custom, hidden code of OpenERP, no "special edition" that you could get. All is GPL'd, everything published and actually developed in the open[1].
But, please (is it the 5th or 6th time I post the same thing because of the same, repeating question? ), do not confuse free software with free support. Demanding that the authors will spend their resources to solve your individual problems for free is not fair to them, or the community that expects overall solutions. [1] launchpad may not genuinely be open-source, but it does not hide the code, yet.
