@n.hartmann here is an update:
Akretion.com is primarily located in Brazil and in Brazil, POS system should be certified so this is a way the bastards in the place prevent competition from the open source field in the POS world. So for our closest market, we don't see big benefits in investing into this unfortunately. Now, that being said, we are actively supporting the tools that will make this possible: we released version #1.4.1 of the OOOR (J)Ruby OpenERP connector that is used in the TerminatOOOR plugin under the hood just last week (faster+binaries utilities+easier). We are likely to release a new version of the TerminatOOOR plugin within a week. We are also building an OpenERP plugin that make it trivial to run Kettle transfo form OpenERP using a button or in an OpenERP cron task. Finally, as far as I know OpenBravo is still recommending to integrate OpenbravoPOS with Openbravo using their Kettle transfo so the strategy I draw and our quote (for other markets than Brazil then) remain totally valid I think. ------------------------ Raphaël Valyi CEO and OpenERP consultant at http://www.akretion.com -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=58568#58568 -------------------- m2f --------------------
