After a fresh install on a clean Ubuntu 10.04, I've managed to get the openerp-server and openerp-client running using the trunk version. I'm using Python 2.6 and the server log is ok (similar to stable version). No specific packages were installed except for PyWebDav which was added manually.
However, when I want to create a new database, the server creates the database but the wizard is not started to select a particular profile. trying to connect to the created database afterward gives a "successful login" message in the server log but the GTK screen remains empty (just like when you are disconnected). I've further checked the existence of the created database with pgadmin3 and the database has been created. Restarting the server does not make any change. Enabling the verbose and debug options in the /etc/openerp-server.conf file do not give me more information. Anyone with a hint on what could be the reason why the wizard does not come up and getting no menus afterwards?
