Hello, I have found this active forum via magento. Could you please take a
moment and let me know if I'm at the right place.

We utilize a software package called monsoonworks, which is ms sql based and
holds a database of inventory, sells it on marketplaces, and then keeps the
database of customers.

We are in the process of implementing magento, which will complement out
marketplaces (amazon, ebay, half.com, etc, play.com, etc.)

While we were always intending on starting from scratch with our package that
would integrate everything, I came upon this solution..

So, Here's my deal.

1) inventory needs to flow both ways and be kept in sync with monsoon, openerp.
I envision openerp being the master, and it receiving adjustments from both
monsoon and magento. Monsoon has data exchange functionality where it sends
files to a folder, or I assume it could all link directly database to database.

2) Openerp would need to push the inventory to magento automatically, and of
course adjust inventory when magento reports a sale.

3) Customer Info needs to flow from magento to openerp as well as from monsoon
to openerp for all the normal reasons.

All the other functionality of openerp clearly exceeds our expectations, but I
hope to know that I'm not going to hit a brick wall with the part of the puzzle
I really need.

Thanks for your time. Mike
