The basic architecture is to have a base-station mote running TOSBase
wired to your computer via serial or enet. The re-Motes then all talk
by radio and some send messages back to the base-station. I believe the
Surge examples just route messages rather than aggregate, but that is
part of your application design.
You should probably start with the doc/tutorial to get an idea of
what you are up against. Then there are a couple of demo sensor net
systems, e.g., apps/Surge and contrib/xbow/apps/Surge_Reliable to
look at, plus an immense amount of research on adhoc networks that
you can find online.
Cory was just kind enough to send the link to the moteiv search page:
http://www.moteiv.com/community/TinyOS_Information
You may be able to find some useful pointers to adhoc nets from there...

Hi everyone,
I am new to tinyos. I wanna ask sth about the mote to mote
communication /mote to base communicaton. Is the ToBase file a guide to
let mote which senses the info communicate with the base station? And if
I want to make several layer application, like:
first, let the motes on the bottem sense the data and transfer them
to the aggregation mote nodes and then aggregation mote nodes
transfer info to the base station . How to construct? In the whole
process, I need to use radio to communicate with each other? And from
motes to motes, I need to broadcast? from the mote to the base , I need
to use UART? And if I need to consider the info sensed by the
aggregation nodes on the aggregation points with the info from the lower
layer? What should I do?? Set a periodical timer and insert them together??
Thanks a lot.
