from what i gather the atmega163 has 1k ram and 16k rom. so it will be possible, but keep in mind that you will not have a lot of room to play around with (most other platforms have 4k-10k ram and at least 48k rom).
though i would assume you don't have a network stack on a smart card, so that lightens your footprint quite a bit. the main thing is that atm163 is not currently supported. so you will have to write some low-level wrappers to abstract away the base MCU functionality. you can take a look at tinyos-2.x/tos/chips/atmega128 to see what the similar code for the atmega 128 is (and maybe you can even reuse some of it, i have no idea how/not similar both procs are). henri On 09/08/06, Sören Rinne <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hey guys, I just have a - maybe curious - question: Is it possible to run TinyOS on a smartcard? My smartcard has an ATmega163 processor. I would like to have further information (if there is any). Thanxs a lot! Cheers Soeren _______________________________________________ Tinyos-help mailing list [email protected] https://mail.millennium.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tinyos-help
