TinyViz hasn't been actively supported for a while now. The principal
authors (Matt Welsh, Nelson Lee, and Dennis Chi) last touched it four
years ago. Mike Demmer and I last touched the Tython subsystem three
years ago. A long time ago there was some talk of fixing all of these
little nits and packaging up a final TinyOS 1.x release (1.2), but
that effort never really gained much steam (the 1.2 WG).
If there's a good deal of community interest in such a project (and
committal of time/effort), it might be a good idea to dust off the
1.2 WG. My guess is that producing a 1.2 release would be ~80 hours
of work. Split across a small team, that's not so bad at all.
If anyone is interested in contributing to such an effort, let me
know. I'll get a sense of the level of resources available and assess
whether it's feasible.
