You can use Lantronix device installer to assign an IP address for
MIB600. The device installer is available on Crossbow's WSN Support
Tools CD or can be downloaded from Lantronix website.

Step-by-step instructions are provided below.

1. Install Lantronix device installer (Setup.exe)

2. Connect the MIB600 to the network using RJ-45 Ethernet cable and
supply power using the DC adapter that is included in the package. Make
sure the Power Switch SW2 is in the "5V" position.

3. Open the Device Installer window by clicking the Start button on the
Task Bar and selecting Start > Programs > Lantronix > Device Installer >
Device Installer.

4. Click on Search button and you will see a list of devices that were
found with the IP address and the corresponding hardware address.

5. Look and match the hardware address of your MIB600 board (e.g.,
00-20-4A-63-47-31) and select it. Click on Assign IP button and follow
the instructions.

6. Make a note of the assigned IP address.

Subject: [Tinyos-help] How to assign ip address to MIB600

Hello.

1. I tried to assign ip address to MIB600 by DHCP server.
I think connection is OK because it shows 10Mbps half dulplex.
Unfortunately, I think previous user assigned a static ip address.
How can I set MIB600 with new ip address?

2. I tried to click "Live" at MoteView1.4c, error window says "Server
Messages :
Xserve:Attempting to Connect to XServe! Xserve is not running ..."
How can I install the Xserver in cygwin?

Any comment is helpful. Thank you in advance.

SW.
