Hi,
I want to debug Xbow/micaz with MIB510 and Atmel JTAG ICE mkII, but there's no
response of the programmer and 'Connection refused'-error etc....

    programming environment:
    Windows XP
    tinyos-1.1.10Jan2005cvs-1   (xbow-contribution)
**********************
* MICA2 Instructions *
**********************
    [EMAIL PROTECTED] /opt/tinyos-1.x/apps/CntToLeds
    $ ice-gdb build/mica/main.exe
    AVaRICE version 2.0.20030825cvs, Aug 25 2003 20:53:25  (.....)
    JTAG ICE communication failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
    GNU gdb cvs-pre6.0-tinyos (.....)
    /usr/local/share/avarice/gdb-avarice-script:25: Error in sourced command
file:
    localhost:6423: Connection refused.
    (gdb)
So I tried to clear the JTAG enable fuse bit, but that wouldn’t work this way:
    [EMAIL PROTECTED] /opt/tinyos-1.x/apps/CntToLeds
    $ uisp -dprog=dapa --wr_fuse_h=19
    pulse
    An error has occurred during the AVR initialization.
     * Target status:
       Vendor Code = 0xff, Part Family = 0xff, Part Number = 0xff
    Probably the wiring is incorrect or target might be `damaged'.
**********************
* MICAZ Instructions *
**********************
    $ export AVARICE_ARGS='--mkII --jtag COM1'
    $ uisp -dprog=mib510 -dpart=ATmega128 -dserial=/dev/ttyS0 --wr_fuse_h=19
    Programmer is not responding.
But I still went on with:
    [EMAIL PROTECTED] /opt/tinyos-1.x/apps/CntToLeds
    $ ice-gdb build/micaz/main.exe
    AVaRICE version 2.0.20030825cvs, Aug 25 2003 20:53:25   (.....)
    GNU gdb cvs-pre6.0-tinyos
    Copyright 2003 Free Software Foundation, Inc. (.....)
    target=avr"...build/micaz/main.exe: No such file or directory. (.....)
    /usr/local/share/avarice/gdb-avarice-script:25: Error in sourced command
file:
    localhost:6423: Connection refused.

Could there be a problem with software-versions,
is it rather the mkII-device, or anything else that’s wrong?

Thanks,
Stefan Wittmann
