You probably don't have the python-devel package installed. The easiest way to get it is though suse's package manager.

I'm new to tinyos and to thew list as well. I'm using SuSe Linux 2.6.18.2-34-xen and I have installed all packages suggested for TinyOS on http://www.tinyos.net/tinyos-2.x/doc/html/install-tinyos.html. I have also made a soft link of /usr/bin/nescc to /usr/local/bin/nescc, as nescc could not be invoked. However, when I ran make micaz sim in /opt/tinyos-2.x/apps/Blink , I got a number of errors. Most important of them (I guess the reason for all) is: Python.h: No such file or directory. I do not know what I miss.. I think Python dev files are included in the rpms. I have installed all MSP430 tools for Linux. I have installed TinyOS specific tools for Linux too (nesc-1.2.8a), but I was prompted by the system to install tinyos-tools.1.2.4. After the successful installation of that, I was able to install tinyos package. My env variables are as suggested on the webpage. I only have an error for graphviz. I would be grateful if I had a suggestion on this.
