It appears to be working now.

I think my second box, whose USB port I was connecting the destination
mote connects into is starting to have power supply problems. When I
test with a different box the dissemination seems to work fine.

(Another difference is that I am now also running 'make uninstall' and
'make distclean' before recompiling after updating my source checkout,
it's *possible* that something bad from an earlier build was confusing
things)

I did a few basic robustness tests (pulled various motes out of USB in
the middle of dissemination then put them back in) and the
dissemination resumed each time.

Thanks for fixing the git repo, so I don't need to download 24 MB with
each update :-)

I'll do more Deluge testing and post again later.

Also, thanks to the various posters who gave suggestions while I was
trying to solve this issue.
