I think I have a basic misconception about Multihop and would appreciate some
clarification.

As I understand it, Multihop needs a basestation (nodeid 0 or UART connected to
PC) in order to generate the beacon messages used to co-ordinate the other
motes.

1) TOSBase doesn't use Multihop, so cannot be a co-ordinator.
2) TOSBase cannot be compiled with the lowpower option.

Bearing in mind these points, a system where the motes run Multihop and are
compiled with the lowpower option MUST have a base station which also runs
MultiHop and is compiled for lowpower.

So far, so good. Data collection works fine but now we come the the nub of the
problem and the reason for this mail.

What is the correct method to inject and disseminate messages to this system? I
can't use Drip as it specifically requires TOSbase.
I know that Deluge manages to do it by using GenericComm however my attempts to
emulate this method so far have failed.

I'm missing a vital piece of insight, ant help greatly appreciated.
