Hi, I have a question about how to estimate the energy consumption by software during node operations. Has anybody developed an algorithm of online energy estimation in TOS 2.x (e.g. like the one developed for Contiki)?
If useful, I am considering developing a module that timestamps time periods when the radio is in TX, RX and sleep modes, and that store the activity times of the sensor devices attached then multiplying by the data sheet power values. Do you reckon this is a good approach? In case do you have any suggestions which file/s are the drivers of the radio that I should use for the timestamping calls?
