If you are using MIB510, there is only one COM port, which should be used both for programming and reading the data. Do you have a USB to Serial adapter that has assigned COM3? Which application did you program into the Mote attached to MIB board? While reading the data from the Mote, make sure that the SW2 switch is set to OFF position. Even with these changes, if you still can't read data from XServe (COM3 port), then I suspect the problem lies in the USB to Serial adapter. Regards, Giri
