Hi all,

I'm still having issues with this, so I will try to provide some extra
information.

My application periodically sends a packet, sleeps for 200ms, then wakes up and
listens 10ms (this 200ms - 10ms process is repeated 3 times).

A current measurement of 2 periods of this behaviour can be seen here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/rcatteeu/3376169144/

As can be seen, the radio is powered off at the right times.

A detailed view of the radio-off state can be seen here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/rcatteeu/3375351407/

The scale on the picture is a 4095-unities scale.

4095 maps on 70mA, so every unit is about 17uA.

As can be seen, the current use never drops under 170 uA.

Also I have these strange peaks of about 100 = 1.5 mA.

I don't use leds, sensors or so in the application, just some timers.

I think the 170 uA is rather high and I cannot explain this high current use or
the strange peaks.

Is it possible that this still is TinyOS related. Do I forget to power
something off or so?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

regards

Ruben

Hi again,

The platform I'm working on is the TmoteSky platform.
With the radio turned off, the current I'm measuring now is about 136uA.
Do I have to take some special steps in the code to get this in the order of
10-20uA, or should the MCU auto-choose the lowest power state?

regards

Ruben
