But ipv6/6lowpan maybe too expensive and am wondering how easy it would be to port to a different transport. Addressing objects should be done using abstract objects like berkeley sockets. But if CoAP uses explicitly IPv6 addresses rather than addressing objects then it makes things a bit more expensive. It can still work because I can easily map 16 bit addresses into large addresses but the overhead of ipv6 addresses is a bit expensive. We'll see how things look.
