Power shutdown and unscheduled maintenance are excluded cos I'm the only 
administrator and in gateway log files there is no sign of power-outage. Both 
systems have been working fine as usual.

At this stage, interference seems the most likable even though is an 
interference that affected both ch 15 and 21. WiFi may be? During late night?
