Positions Announcement:
The Department
of Psychology at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for
two tenure-track positions. The first position is at the
Assistant or Associate Professor level in Industrial/Organizational
Psychology. This individual would be expected to assist the
Department in the development of a Masters program with an I/O track.
The second position is at the Assistant Professor level. Area of
specialization is open, provided that the candidate has training in a
core area of scientific psychology and has teaching and research
interests in diversity and cross-cultural issues. This
individual would be expected to teach courses in the Psychology of
Race and Gender and develop new courses in psychology that could
contribute to the University's African-American Studies minor.
Both positions require excellent teaching skills, evidence of research
potential, and Ph.D. by August 15, 2002. Applicants for both
positions should have a very strong interest in teaching and involving
undergraduates in their program of research. Current teaching
load is 12 credit hrs/semester. Applicants should be prepared to
teach Introductory Psychology in addition to advanced courses in their
specialty areas. Applicants will be reviewed on the basis
of their potential to excel in teaching and research and to work
effectively in a supportive collegial environment. More
