The ad will appear soon in the Monitor and the Observer.The Department of Psychology at Western Kentucky University invites applications for two tenure-track positions in CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY, and a 1 to 3 year visiting assistant professor position in EXPERIMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY for Fall, 2002. Position 1-Clinical is entry level; Position 2-Clinical requires significant postdoctoral experience, including a year of supervised clinical experience, and includes the additional duties of coordinating the Psychological Clinic and M.A. Clinical Program. Rank is negotiable. Both positions require an earned doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA approved program and eligibility for Kentucky license within one year. Strengths in geropsychology or child clinical are desirable, but area of specialization is open, and broad training is required. Duties include supervision of practica and internships and teaching courses from among the following: abnormal, alcoholism, behavior modification, and adult life and aging (undergraduate); and personality assessment, psychopathology, professional issues, and practicum (graduate). Position 3-Experimental responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in experimental design and statistics, and upper-level courses in experimental psychology, such as learning and cognition. Knowledge of web-based technology is desirable. For all three positions, experience or interest in working with diverse ethnic groups is desirable, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, research and service is essential.
