Craig and other TIPSters, The stranger generally interacted with the child but did not pick him/her up. They tried to engage them. Other times, they may have sat there while the child reveled distress symptoms (cried).
Generally, the stranger was female. I haven't seen any videos with males, although it would interesting to ask.
