Just one quick response, but the point is a general one.

So, if you have "profound" questions about well-substantiated
statements like this, but you can go on to proclaim with apparent
certainty far less substantiated claims such as:

> taking? Why do they not truly and openly examine options? 

Such contradictions can make it appear that you are quite
selective about what premises you want to subject to your
critical scrutiny.
