This is a rather odd report because rats would rarely be exposed to UV at
night.  One experiment suggested that rats knew when they were being exposed
to high radiation.  Perhaps this could be a connection to the UV report.
The cones could be sensitive to radiation as a prime condition, but
experimentally this is interpreted to mean UV sensitivity from our frame of
reference.
