Psychology Faculty (Nine-month, Full-time Temporary) College of Arts and Sciences RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate psychology, possible off-campus teaching, contributing to the development of the psychology major, and contributing to the on-going development and activities of the Social Sciences Department. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities that may include orientation, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at time convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. QUALIFICATIONS: Required - Masters in psychology and the ability to teach introductory psychology. Commitment to undergraduate teaching and evidence of quality teaching. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the potential for teaching excellence, must be able to contribute to the ongoing development of the department, and must have interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to be able to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues. Preferred - PhD in psychology, and ability to use computers for psychology education SALARY: Salary is competitive with other state-assisted Michigan universities.
