I am just about to discuss my least favorite topic, rape and sexual abuse. My students seem to be of the opinion that therapy is useless, that no one gets better, and we should just lock them all up (or kill them, which some think would be better). I seem to recall a study showing treated sex offenders relapsed at only something like an 18% rate at 5-year follow-up, but have no idea what article it was (or whether my recall is correct). Can anyone help?
