Hi Rod and others,
It strikes me that you could write the same statement, substituting
"theory" for "psychology". That would return us to familiar ground, it
seems to me. Also, David Buss has done a good job of creating testable
hypotheses in the area of mate selection, and has tested them
cross-culturally. In my own work on general systems of behavior, an
evolutionarily-derived area, I have found that creating testable hypotheses
is no more difficult here than elsewhere.
