Title: Re: Help with a problem?
I'd bet my Phrenology statue that these students took the exam estimating that they'd do better on the other test and they could plead ignorance.  There's NO way they could have not recognized their professor, their fellow students, their professor's name, and the content they were told to expect.

You could probably fail them without batting an eyelash.

If you choose to not have to engage in the battle that would be likely to ensue, I'd suggest that you:
1.  Alert your chair to the situation.
2.  Give them the "I'll do you a favor, although I should fail you" lecture.
3.  Give a makeup test that is very challenging, and in a different format than the one you had before.  I'd suggest ten very involved essay questions.  (Remember that they have had longer to study, and you don't want this to ever be a problem again!)
