Good morning all:
I have a couple of student-initiated questions with
which I need some help. First, a student asked why most of us swing our
arms as we walk.
Second, a student asked if melatonin produced by
the pineal gland is considered a hormone or a neurotransmitter and another asked
about norepinephrine and epinephrine, produced by the adrenal glands; again are
these hormones or neurotransmitters?
And I have a question: Are norepinephrine and
epinephrine also called adrenaline and noradrenaline? Is there a distinction
between them?
Thanks for the info in advance. It's
appreciated!!
