Stephen: As I remarked to a friend of mine, one may learn just as much
by watching, say, a reality TV programme. (Yes, that's a bad joke.)

Following up on what I recall was an early-bird alert from an alert
TIPSter (Beth?), I'm pleased to remind everyone that the PBS network
in the US of A is running a programme (on Scientific American
Frontiers) on the placebo ("The Wonder Pill").

So fire up those VCRs. In my area (northern Vermont just to the
south), it's at the following times:

Tue, Feb 18 9 pm

Wed, Feb 19 2 am

Wed, Feb 19 5 am

Sun, Feb 23 4 am

So there should be no excuse for missing it because you have to watch
Baywatch reruns instead.

There's also a nice set of web materials to accompany it, at
http://www.pbs.org/saf/1307/index.html
