What I find horrifying is that this instument, IQ tests, with all their admitted and proposed flaws, are probably responsible for more deaths and crippled lives than any weapon devised by humans.
However, an interesting paradox is that this same instrument can also be used to document mental retardation and thereby keep folks off of death row.
