The University of Prince Edward Island, Canada,  invites 
applications for two tenure stream positions in Psychology at the 
Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2004. We are seeking 
one candidate with a specialization in Developmental Psychology 
and a second with a specialization  in Social Psychology. Strength 
in quantitative methods and/or enthusiasm for teaching introductory 
psychology would be assets for either position.  

Successful candidates will join a dynamic, creative, diverse 
department of independent minded educators and researchers at a
fine small university,  where faculty have the freedom to develop 
their unique professional and personal potentials in a variety of 
ways. Our department prides itself on its outstanding teaching and 
its excellence in research; for example, faculty have been awarded 
the 3M teaching fellowship, and currently hold grants with 
SSHRCC, NSERC , CIHR, and other agencies.  We offer 
opportunities for involvement in a rich variety of collaborative 
relationships in research, teaching and service within the 
department, across the campus, and in the wider community.

three undergraduate courses per term and will also be engaged in 
an active research program, supervise honors students and 
participate in general department responsibilities.
