Gary, I've seen all of the first season of the Showtime Penn and Teller Series, "BullSh*t". While they do expose some quackery and expose some myths they do not apply a rigorous scientific method. I noticed this on several occasions. They will decry one "expert" while deferring to another without scientifically examining the claims of either. I do think the show can be used to help challenge students to think critically, help them to examine what qualifies as critical thinking (vs. mere criticism) and at the same time be a shining example of don't believe everything you hear.

That's my $0.02.

A while back a few of us were interested in seeking video of the Penn
and Teller series dealing with all sorts of quackery and pseudoscience. I understand video (dvd or vhs) of the first season will be out by the
end of March. Check out the showtime site to inquire further. Gary
